We are a friendly and sociable club who welcome any player, of any age, ability and disability

The club runs every Tuesday evening 7-10 at Broadclyst Sports Centre. We have a range of abilites from standing players to wheelchair players, with members playing socially to those competing for the club in local and national competitions.

Our members have gained numerous awards and medals for competing and we were awarded "Badminton Club of the Year" in 2014 by Badminton England, a very special accolade, which was truly deserved.

We play matches against local clubs which are enjoyable and fun and it is a great moment to showcase our skills, especially when playing against able bodied clubs. So if you want to pick up a racquet and give it a go, please come along. We have sports wheelchairs and racquets available to use, so all you need to do is turn up.

A message from our Chairman - Ian Vosper

"I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to the Devon Racqueteers website. We are a friendly, welcoming badminton club for those with physical and learning disabilities. I have been coaching at the club since 2008 and was elected chairman in 2016. We have developed the skills of 4 international players who have represented England all over the world. Many of our players come every week for a social game of badminton. There are no joining requirements and all standards of play are welcome, from those who have never picked up a racquet to competitive players."

The club has seen many successes from local to national awards. Click here to see the club's and player's achievements.
